Stock Register

Stock Transfer Ledger

Purpose:  Data entered on the Enter Transactions page is displayed here in a list format.

Overview:   This form permits the user to view all of the transactions for a single company.  Select the company tab at the top of the form to view the company’s transactions.  Click on one or all of the check boxes labeled Filter List By Stock Type and the list will show only the stock types that are checked.  The Total Transactions By Selected Company label displays the total number of transactions for the selected company.  The Selected Transactions label displays the number of filtered transactions that are viewable.  The rows can be sorted ascending or descending by clicking on a column header and each column can be resize.

4. Record Navigation
The First/Prior/Next/Last buttons are not available from this form. Use the scroll bar on the right side of the form to navigate through the list of transactions.

6.Reports The following reports are accessible from the Reports option on the main menu. While moving from one form to another the report options change.

- Stock Types for
          Selected Company
          For All Companies by Company

Company Tabs: Use these tabs to navigate through the companies in the database. As company names are selected the stock register for that company appears on the form.

Pages: This is a second set of tabs under the Company tabs that are used to move through the functional areas of the Stock Register.The areas include: 1.) Enter Transactions, 2.) Stock Transfer Ledger, 3.) Shareholders, and 4.) Stock Types and Dividends.

Stock Type:   The application tracks common stock, preferred stock, and stock options.  Select the type of transaction and the form will change to show the total number of the selected type of stock or option for the selected company.

Transaction Count: Consists of two numbers. The Total Transactions For Selected Company displays the total number of all types of stock transactions for that company and the Filtered List Stock Type label shows only the number of transactions in the filtered list.

Column 1 -Type: This is the first letter of the stock type for the transaction. C = Common, P = Preferred, O = Option.

Colum 2 - Voting Stock:Yes – if the shares permit the owner to vote during shareholder meetings. The number of votes is equal to the number of shares. No – if the share are non-voting.

Column 3- Date: This is the date when the buyer purchased the stock from the seller.  It may or may not be the same date as the Transfer Date, which is when the physical stock certificates were transferred from the seller to the buyer.

Column 4 – Name of New Owner:   The buyer is the person or business entity purchasing the stock.

Column 5 - Name of Previous Owner:
The seller is the person or business entity selling the stock.

Column 6 –Certificate Number: The certificate number is the sequential identification number for the shares of stock that

Surrender Certs:   Certificates that have been surrendered to the issuing company are shaded green and are no longer active.
